Denture cost is not one number. A 2026 national study put low-cost removable dentures near $340 and premium removable dentures above $11,000. Many quotes cover one jaw, not both, but the national table below does not say which unit it used. Shifa Dental does not publish a denture fee. The denture page says the fee depends on type, materials, how many teeth are replaced, and whether teeth need to come out first. A written estimate after an exam is the number that applies to you.
Schedule a denture consultation at Shifa Dental. On the first screen, choose the Plano office or the Garland office before an address appears. You can also open the Plano denture page or the Garland denture page.
What drives denture cost
Four choices move the fee more than the city name on the estimate. Ask about each one before you compare two offices.
- One jaw or both. A per-arch price covers the upper or the lower, not a full set. If you need both, ask for two appliances, the visits, and the adjustments.
- The type. A partial replaces some teeth and uses teeth you still have. A full denture replaces every tooth in that jaw. An implant-supported denture adds surgery and parts.
- What is included. One quote may be the appliance only. Another may add the exam, images, extractions, a healing denture, and early adjustments.
- Materials and lab work. Acrylic, a metal base, custom gum color, and a more natural tooth shade can each change the lab fee. The lab builds the appliance from your impressions. A cheaper material is not always the lower total, because fit visits and later repairs still count.
Shifa Dental offers full, partial, implant-supported, immediate, and flexible dentures at the Plano and Garland offices. The dentist recommends a type only after an exam. Immediate dentures, placed the day teeth come out, are for selected patients and are not finished treatment. Gums change while they heal, so that denture often needs a reline or a new fit later.
Denture cost by type
The ranges below come from the 2026 Synchrony Average Procedural Cost Study, summarized by CareCredit. ASQ360 Market Research ran the study in 2026 for Synchrony across dental practices in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. These are study averages, not Shifa Dental fees, and not a quote for Plano or Garland.
The source names a billing unit only for the implant row, which is per implant. It does not say whether the other averages are for one jaw, both jaws, or the appliance alone. Do not add those rows together and call the total a two-jaw fee.
| Denture type | Study average | Reported range |
|---|---|---|
| Full, low-cost removable. | $460. | $340 to $760. |
| Full, traditional removable. | $2,022. | $1,493 to $3,309. |
| Full, immediate temporary. | $2,243. | $1,670 to $3,573. |
| Full, premium removable. | $6,703. | $4,484 to $11,018. |
| Partial, flexible nylon. | $1,780. | $1,296 to $2,916. |
| Partial, resin-based. | $1,784. | $1,335 to $2,873. |
| Partial, metal. | $2,293. | $1,700 to $3,717. |
| Snap-on, implant-retained. | $2,540. | $1,886 to $4,124. |
| Removable overdenture. | $3,205. | $2,202 to $5,444. |
| Implant-supported, per implant. | $4,093. | $2,830 to $7,203. |
Only the last row has a unit. CareCredit labels it “full implant-supported dentures per implant,” and says that denture can be removable or fixed, depending on design. The study does not say which parts that figure includes or leaves out, so this article does not treat the denture, a temporary, grafting, or healing visits as excluded. Ask the office which lines are in your written plan.
The Texas figure in the same study is $1,995 for a traditional removable denture. The state table does not say whether that average is one jaw or both. It is still a study average, not a Shifa Dental fee.
In that same table, the metal partial average sits above the flexible nylon and resin averages, but the ranges overlap. A metal partial is not always the higher bill, and an acrylic or resin partial is not always the lower one. Ask which design the exam supports, and whether the price is per jaw. For implant choices, start with the practice implant overdenture page, then confirm the plan in person.
Costs a denture price may leave out
The appliance is only one line. CareCredit’s summary of the same study lists other national averages that sometimes sit outside the denture price. Use them to build a question list, not a bill.
- Exam and images. A dental exam with X-rays averaged about $210. A panoramic X-ray averaged about $205. A cone-beam CT, sometimes used when implants are considered, averaged about $475.
- Tooth removal. A surgical single-tooth extraction averaged about $375. A simple removal can cost less, and several teeth cost more. The tooth and the method decide the fee.
- A healing denture. An immediate denture lets you leave with teeth the day extractions are done, when you are a candidate. It often needs a reline after the gums shrink.
- Later fit care. The American Dental Association says an adhesive is not a fix for a loose denture. A poor fit may need a reline or a replacement so the gums do not stay sore. The ADA also says to store a denture in water or cleanser, never hot water, so it keeps its shape.
Shifa Dental’s denture pages say dentures often last about 5 to 10 years, depending on care and how your mouth changes. That span is a typical range, not a promise. Regular visits are how the office checks fit before a small sore becomes a bigger problem.
Insurance, Medicare, and what you may owe
Dental insurance may pay part of a denture, but only after your own plan rules. A deductible, an annual maximum, a waiting period, and a replacement limit can all change your share. Some plans pay toward a basic denture and limit or exclude implant-supported care or premium materials. An estimate from the office is not a promise that the insurer will pay.
Original Medicare does not cover routine dentures. Medicare.gov says you pay the cost in most cases for dentures, implants, cleanings, fillings, and extractions. A Medicare Advantage plan may include dental benefits, but the amount, the network, and the yearly cap differ by plan. Medicaid denture benefits also differ by state and by who qualifies. Call the plan, or ask the office to send a pretreatment estimate, before you start.
If you have a health savings account or a flexible spending account, ask the administrator whether the denture and related care qualify. The IRS medical-expense guide is the general rule set. Keep the itemized estimate and your receipts. Do not assume every line is eligible.
Ways to plan the payment
Shifa Dental lists three paths for patients who are not using insurance. Each one has conditions. None of them is an approval before you apply or ask.
- CareCredit. The financing page says Shifa Dental accepts CareCredit for dental treatment. It notes low monthly payments and no up-front cost, and it says a credit check is required. Terms come from the lender, not from this article.
- In-house plans. For qualified Shifa Club members, and depending on the treatment, the office may finance an interest-free plan. Call and ask whether a denture qualifies. Do not treat “Shifa Club” as the same thing as the membership plan below.
- Shifa Smiles Plan. This is a discount membership, not insurance. The savings page lists $175 a year for the first member, $150 for each added member, $125 for a child under 13, and $499 for a family of four with two members under 13. A one-time $20 processing fee is not refundable. Included care is two regular exams with X-rays, two regular cleanings, one limited or emergency exam, and one fluoride treatment, each at $0 for the year. The page lists dentures at 40% off. It also says the 40% discount does not apply to orthodontics, care rendered by a specialist, or lab fees, and it cannot be combined with insurance or coupons. Ask whether the discount applies to the appliance, the visits, or both.
Cherry appears on the financing page as a flexible interest-free plan for qualified applicants. The page also shows an approval-rate claim. This article does not repeat that rate. Ask the office what a current offer includes before you rely on it. The practice says it accepts most insurance plans. You still have to verify your own policy.
Full, partial, and implant dentures
The right type depends on how many teeth remain and how much support the gums and bone can give. Shifa Dental lists all three families on its denture pages. The exam decides which one is realistic.
A full denture replaces every tooth in the upper jaw, the lower jaw, or both. A conventional full denture is made after extractions have healed, which can take months. An immediate full denture is made in advance and placed the day the teeth come out, so you are not without teeth while you heal. Because the ridge shrinks during healing, that first denture is a starting point. Expect follow-up visits. It is not the final fit for every patient.
A partial fills the gaps and clasps or rests on teeth you still have. It can be a flexible nylon style, a resin base, or a thinner metal framework. The difference you feel is often the clasp, the thickness, and how easy it is to clean. Ask the dentist which design your remaining teeth can support. Use the table above for the study averages, rather than treating one material as always cheaper.
An implant overdenture uses implants so the plate moves less. Shifa Dental’s implant overdenture page says the fee depends on how many implants you need, whether bone grafting is required, the denture and its attachments, and the complexity of the case. The page does not publish a dollar fee. It also says the implant placement visit can happen in one day, then healing usually takes 3 to 6 months before the denture is attached. A same-day temporary is only for selected patients, and it is not finished treatment.
Use the last row of the table as a study average only. CareCredit calls that row full implant-supported dentures per implant, at an average of $4,093, with a reported range of $2,830 to $7,203. The source does not define the parts inside that procedure. Do not multiply $4,093 by the implant count and present the product as your full cost. For a broader look at choices, read the practice page on replacing missing teeth.
How to compare two denture estimates
Put both plans side by side and match the lines. A lower first number often leaves out extractions, images, or a healing denture. Those lines show up later. The Plano office is at 5509 Pleasant Valley Dr #90A, Plano, TX 75023. The Garland office is at 1918 N Plano Rd, Garland, TX 75042. Allen and Richardson patients are welcome at either office. Those cities are not extra Shifa locations.
- Ask whether the price covers one jaw or both the upper and the lower.
- Ask which denture type and which materials are included.
- Ask whether the exam, X-rays, and any extractions are in the total.
- Ask whether a temporary or immediate denture is part of the plan.
- Ask how many fitting visits and early adjustments are included.
- Ask what a later reline, repair, or replacement would cost.
If an implant plan is on the table, ask for the implant count, grafting, the denture, and any temporary teeth as separate lines. The written estimate after the exam replaces a national ad or a study average.
What to ask at a Shifa Dental visit
Bring your insurance card and any written estimate you already have. A useful visit answers five questions in plain language.
- Which type fits the teeth and gums you have now, and which types you can skip?
- What is included in the written fee, and what could be added after the exam?
- If teeth need to come out, would an immediate denture be appropriate, or should you wait to heal?
- Can the team request a pretreatment estimate from your plan, without promising payment?
- If you are paying directly, which of CareCredit, an in-house plan, or the Shifa Smiles Plan might apply?
Same-day teeth are not automatic. The denture page says a consultation decides whether an immediate denture is appropriate. Implants, if you choose that path, usually need months to heal before the final teeth are attached. Ask for the timeline that matches your plan.
Schedule a denture consultation in Plano or Garland
If you want a fee you can plan around, the next step is an exam and a written estimate. Schedule an appointment and choose Plano or Garland on the first screen, before an address appears. You can review the Plano office or the Garland office first if you want the location, hours, and services in one place.
Frequently asked questions
How much do dentures cost?
There is no single denture cost. In the 2026 Synchrony study summarized by CareCredit, low-cost removable dentures ranged from $340 to $760, and premium removable dentures ranged from $4,484 to $11,018. A traditional removable denture averaged $2,022 nationwide and $1,995 in Texas. Those figures are study averages, not a Shifa Dental fee. Ask for a written estimate after an exam, and ask whether it covers one jaw or both.
Does a denture price cover both upper and lower teeth?
Often it does not. Many fees are per arch, meaning one jaw. If you need a full set, ask for the upper appliance, the lower appliance, the visits, and the adjustments as separate lines. Comparing a one-jaw price with a two-jaw price will make the cheaper sheet look better than it is.
What can be billed separately from the denture?
Exams, X-rays, extractions, a healing denture, relines, and repairs are often separate. In the same national study, an exam with X-rays averaged about $210 and a surgical single-tooth extraction averaged about $375. The implant-supported row is priced per implant. The source does not say which parts that figure includes, so ask the office to list them on your written plan.
Will dental insurance or Medicare pay for dentures?
Private dental insurance may pay part of a denture after the deductible, up to the annual maximum, and only if no waiting period is still running. That share is plan-specific, not a fixed percent. Original Medicare does not cover routine dentures. You pay that cost in most cases unless a Medicare Advantage plan includes a dental benefit. Medicaid rules depend on the state program and on eligibility.
Can Shifa Dental help me plan denture care in Plano or Garland?
Yes. Full, partial, flexible, immediate, and implant-supported dentures are listed at both offices. Schedule a consultation, choose Plano or Garland on the first screen, and ask for a written estimate. Payment paths can include your own insurance, CareCredit, an in-house plan for qualified Shifa Club members, or the Shifa Smiles Plan discount. The office confirms what applies to your treatment.
